JACKSON, Wyo. — As colder weather looms, the Teton County Health Department (TCHD) is hosting two walk-in Covid-19 and flu vaccine clinics for adults ages 60 and over at the Senior Center of Jackson Hole.
Clinics will be held on Sept. 26 and Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments are not necessary. High-dose flu vaccines will be available for people ages 65 and older, while supplies last. Regular flu shots will be available to those ages 60 to 64. TCHD notes that this year’s flu vaccine is formulated to protect against three different flu viruses, and that it is preservative free.
Also available will be the 2025-2026 Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine, while supplies last.
“Flu and Covid-19 vaccines are a safe and powerful tool for reducing the chances of getting sick with these viruses, and for reducing the severity of illness if you are infected,” Teton County Director of Health and District Health Officer Travis Riddell, MD, MPH, said in the announcement.
Individuals interested in the vaccines must bring an insurance card to the clinic. Medicare and supplemental cards are required for billing purposes, TCHD noted. Those without insurance will have the option to pay for the shots at the event, with the Covid vaccine expected to cost in the ballpark of $200 and the high-dose flu shot likely to be in the $100 range.
“With cooler weather bringing more people indoors, the Teton County Health Department reminds the public to get your seasonal vaccinations this fall,” the announcement reads. “The best way to reduce your risk and the potentially serious complications of the flu and of Covid-19 is to get vaccinated every year.”
