JACKSON, Wyo. — Goodbye, summer heat.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a freeze warning for Jackson Hole and Star Valley, plus the Pinedale, Big Piney and Kemmerer areas. NWS is forecasting low temperatures between 2 and 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
“Sub-freezing temperatures 26 to 32 degrees expected,” the warning states. “Isolated cold prone areas 22 to 25 degrees. … Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.”
Gardeners: remember to give plants a little extra TLC ahead of a chilly evening. Conditions in Jackson look relatively clear through Thursday before potential precipitation enters the mix.
