JACKSON, Wyo. — With new changes and unexpected challenges, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming unites with their Wyoming neighbors to do their part.
For some, doing your part means staying at home, and for others such as medical personnel and grocery store workers, it means showing up to work every day.
The small state of Wyoming thrives when all of its residents come together to help others in their homes and communities, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming (BCBSWY) wants to share an appreciation for the acts of caring they have witnessed across the state.
In addition, BCBSWY wants to show the state that they remain as committed to ever to do their part to help their neighbors.
By teaming up with the Wyoming Hunger Initiative, BCBSWY is helping to make sure Wyoming families don’t go hungry during these uncertain times. Started by First Lady Jennie Gordon, the goal of the Wyoming Hunger Initiative is to end childhood hunger in Wyoming.
BCBSWY’s gift of $100,000 will support local anti-hunger programs and help build programs, such as Food from the Field, that will have a lasting impact on solving food insecurity in Wyoming communities.
“Food scarcity is near and dear to our hearts, because it’s hard to stay healthy if you’re hungry,” says Diane Gore, president and CEO of BCBSWY. “Now, with so many of our Wyoming neighbors struggling to make ends meet, this is one more way we can help.”
“We have launched #WyomingTogether as a way to recognize the many ways people have come together to offer a neighborly hand to support each other, local businesses, health care providers and the people keep our state running,” says Gore. “BCBSWY is committed to doing what we can, and we’re encouraged by what we see others are doing”.
BCBSWY invites you to join them as they recognize acts of #WyomingTogether and share gratitude toward those who showed up for work every day during this pandemic to keep local communities safe and healthy.
