JACKSON, Wyo. — In an effort to connect with Teton County and share younger perspectives, the Wyoming PBS (WY PBS) Foundation appointed Jackson resident Alden Wood Faust to its Board on Dec. 19.
WY PBS has been broadcasting from Central Wyoming College in Riverton since its inception in 1983. According to WY PBS, Jackson is the fourth-largest membership base for the network, with nearly 6,000 members.
Judd Rogers, the executive director of the WY PBS Foundation, told Buckrail that it’s the first time in recent history that a Jackson resident has joined the Board. According to Rogers, Teton County has had previous representation with the Honorable Nancy Gutherie and Dr. Kenneth Begelman, both of whom have since passed away.
Rogers said that the addition of Faust underscores the Foundation’s efforts to strengthen its ties with local communities and expand its impact across the state.
“As Wyoming’s only statewide television broadcast station, we are committed to building a Board that reflects the diversity of our state,” Rogers said. “Faust represents the Network’s commitment to seeking younger voices for its Board. Their fresh perspectives, diverse skill sets and innovative ideas are essential to ensuring Wyoming PBS remains relevant and continues to thrive for the next 50 years.”

As a film producer and owner of Tower 3 Productions, Faust said that she will bring her expertise to “the strong leadership of Wyoming women” at PBS. Wyoming PBS’s current Board consists of a 60/40 woman-to-man ratio.
“I am honored and excited to be representing Teton County on the WY PBS Foundation Board,” Faust said in a statement. “By combining my experience in video production, my passion for Wyoming storytelling and my dedication to serving where needed, I feel WY PBS is a great opportunity to use my skills. I hope to spread the word about the incredible work that WY PBS is doing both statewide and nationally.”
Faust joins the following fellow Wyoming PBS Foundation Board members: D. Lynette St. Clair and Jordan Dresser of Fort Washakie, Carol Bell of Cody, Diana Enzi of Gillette, Gloria Hedderman of Powell, John Kambutu of Laramie, Dan Kirkbride of Chugwater, Cathy Norris of Cheyenne, Wyoming PBS CEO Joanna Kail, Scott Estep and Jennifer Hamilton of Lander and Holland Duell, Gary Miller and Sarah Jo Heuck Sinclair of Sheridan.
According to the Foundation’s press release, WY PBS will also work to strengthen its relationship with Jackson through increased community engagement, outreach events and future film screenings at the Center for the Arts.
