JACKSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) issued a traffic alert at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, warning motorists of slush and black ice on WY22 between Jackson and the Idaho State Line.
The alert also said that trailers are not allowed on the pass during these stormy conditions.
A powerful winter storm is dumping snow in high elevations through Thursday evening, according to Buckrail meteorologist Alan Smith.
Teton Pass is closed to trailer traffic seasonally from Nov. 15 to April 1.
