WILSON, Wyo. — Public access to the Wilson Boat Ramp ended for the season on Oct. 2, and since then construction crews have been working to replace the ramp and pave the parking area before the weather halts work for the winter.
According to Andy Erskine, parks superintendent at Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation Department, the contractor will continue grading the new road until Nov. 15, or until the weather allows. Winter wildlife closures are implemented in the area on Dec. 1.
The boat ramp pavement has been installed and new restrooms opened in mid-August.

Costing just shy of $1 million, the project includes the paving of the access road, a portion of the levee and the construction of a one-way loop road. A series of pathways and an informational kiosk will also be built. Twenty-eight parking spots including two ADA-compliant spots will be painted on the roadway. MD Landscaping is the contractor for the project.

The project is expected to be completed in the spring and will pick back up with paving and final details.
