JACKSON, Wyo. — Local realtor Devon Viehman is making her second bid at a seat on the Jackson Town Council.

Viehman announced her candidacy last month.

In an email to Buckrail Viehman said, “my desire to serve this community has grown stronger the past two years since I last ran. Growing up here, I have a responsibility to ensure future generations have an opportunity to live and work here. I still have a lot to give, and I’m taking a second opportunity to demonstrate to our community how dedicated I am to finding creative solutions for our many intersecting issues.”

Viehman ran for a seat on the council in 2020, missing a spot by 270 votes.

Viehman is an Associate Broker and member of the Viehman Group, which compiles the Jackson Hole Report, a quarterly real estate report. The group operates out of the Engel & Völkers office.

She is currently a Teton County Planning Commissioner.

Viehman was the youngest-ever President of the Teton Board of Realtors in 2012. She was named Realtor of the Year in 2013 and elected President of the Wyoming Association of Realtors Prein 2018. She was awarded the 2021 Wyoming Woman of Influence Award for real estate.
