JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Town Council will spend the first chunk of a special workshop Monday deciding whether to extend a Teton County public health order requiring masks.
The order, implemented yesterday, expires after 10 days, but the town and county can vote to extend it. Town Council’s special workshop starts at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30.
COVID-19 is perhaps the town’s top priority, but not its only, the town said in a press release. Town Manager Larry Pardee and Community Engagement Specialist Susan Scarlata will present a legislative policy approach for the council to consider. Scarlata will also present about a possible Equity Task Force, which would aim to “create a more livable community overall and a more equitable, inclusive local government that better reflects our community’s demographics.”
Finally, the council will consider future local government funding. Pardee will introduce a possible six-phase process that could guide the town in balancing revenues and expenditures and determining how to maintain services.
The public can comment on any or all items on the agenda via email or Zoom.
