Award-winning band to make Jackson Hole debut on July 11

JACKSON, Wyo. — Dobro master and 16-time GRAMMY winner Jerry Douglas is to the resonator guitar what Jimi Hendrix was to the electric guitar, elevating, transforming and reinventing the instrument in countless ways. Since 2017, The Jerry Douglas Band has been forging new paths into the musical horizon with deep roots in bluegrass and folk that spreads out into the Americana and jazz landscapes. On Thursday, July 11, the Jerry Douglas Band will appear as the latest headliner in the intimate Silver Dollar Showroom Sessions.

Called “Dobro’s matchless contemporary master” by The New York Times, three-time CMA Musician of the Year award recipient, Jerry Douglas, is one of the most innovative recording artists in music as a solo artist, band leader for the Jerry Douglas Band, and his GRAMMY-winning bluegrass band, the Earls of Leicester, as well as a member of groundbreaking ensemble, Alison Krauss and Union Station. He’s produced more than a hundred albums and been featured on more than 1,600 studio albums by artists as varied as Garth Brooks, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, Ray Charles and many others. In addition to Douglas, the JDB is comprised of multi-GRAMMY-nominated bassist Daniel Kimbro, award-winning 5-string violinist Christian Sedelmyer and twice GRAMMY-nominated guitarist and composer Mike Seal.

The Silver Dollar Showroom Sessions are a unique offering in Jackson Hole, pairing world class entertainers in an intimate setting, with a delicious three-course meal. Tickets, priced at $195 per seat including dinner and the show, are extremely limited, sold by the table or barstool.
