The 2019 People’s Market brought to you by Wind River Capital Management.
The Summer People’s Market continues into September! Join community members, vendors, and entertainment from 4-7 pm tonight (September 4) at the base of Snow King. Stock up on all things local: groceries, art, beverages, and snacks.
Remember, the People’s Market is a zero-waste event! Don’t forget to bring your own cup (16 oz or smaller). No glass cups or containers, please.
This week’s market is a special one, featuring wild salmon from Pride of Bristol Bay, this week’s market sponsor. Their wild-caught salmon fillets will be grilled in the In Season Baking Co. and Teton Full Circle Education pizza oven.
Pride of Bristol Bay partner and fisherman Matt Luck will be on site taking orders for 20-pound boxes of frozen salmon. People can then pick up their box of salmon on Sept. 21st between 11 am- 4 pm at Jackson Whole Grocer.
Featured Vendor of the Week:
Bowen’s Garden Stand is run by eight-year-old Kelly local Bowen, who will be entering the second grade this fall at the Kelly School. He noticed plants and flowers from age two and it just kept building from there. At age three, he started planting seeds and started to actually garden—a result of his fascination with how a seed grows into a vegetable. He dreams of a bigger garden someday. Come buy some veggies at his garden stand this week!
Featured Nonprofits of the Week:
Teton Literacy Center defines literacy as proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, listening, problem-solving, and critical thinking and works to create a community in which members have the literacy skills necessary to not only function but to thrive.
Anyone (14 or older) who volunteers at the library is automatically a member of the Teton County Library Friends, helping with events and programs, mailings, recycling, shelving, the tax preparation and youth program, and much more!
Musician of the Week:
StrumBucket is an electro, twang-rock group hailing from Jackson, WY. Their southern roots influence a sonic sound, fusing together bluegrass jazz, and funk into an all-encompassing experience. Come get funky with them this week!
