JACKSON, Wyo. — Three grizzly cubs means triple the cuteness.
Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer spotted this family of four enjoying the sunshine and wildflowers. Wildlife watchers believe this to be Grizzly 1063.

These cubs will stick with their mom for the foreseeable future. It’s common for a grizzly mother to care for her young for at least two years, feeding and protecting them. They’ll likely part ways when the cubs reach 2.5 years old.

According to the National Park Service, it’s standard for a grizz to have one to three cubs per litter.

It’s already been a busy year for grizzly activity in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Remember to practice bear-safe behaviors when recreating this summer.
