WILSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is reminding travelers that beginning on the morning of Tuesday, July 8, traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction so crews can put an epoxy overlay on the Snake River Bridge.

On Monday, July 7, travelers could see crews placing wands and barrels on the road to prepare for the construction work.

WYDOT and crews from Ames Construction have estimated that they will complete the epoxy overlay project, which is outside the completed construction contract for the Snake River Bridge, by the end of the week. WYDOT Engineer Bob Hammond previously told Buckrail that crews will be closing down one bridge lane at a time, from July 7 to 12, for the pavement work. This step is weather dependent and cannot be done at night.

According to WYDOT, the last couple of weeks have seen traffic shifted left and right in order to put in guardrails and other finishing touches. WYDOT reminds drivers to be cautious of roadside workers and obey all roadside signs, traffic control devices and closures.
