JACKSON, Wyo. — Dust off the lederhosen and start training for stein holding because Oktoberfest season has arrived, and Buckrail has rounded up all the festivities happening in the area.

Elktoberfest: Saturday, Sept. 20, 4 to 10 p.m.
The Jackson Hole Elks Lodge is hosting its own version of the Bavarian festival. The party is open to the public, ages 21 and over. The Hof Band will be in attendance playing polka music in the alpine tradition. A $25 ticket includes brats, pretzels and two drinks. For $15, attendees can purchase a bottomless beer mug for the evening.

Teton Village: Saturday, Sept. 27, noon to 8 p.m.
Traditional attire is encouraged at the inaugural Oktoberfest in Teton Village, and prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed attendees. The celebration on the Village Commons will include plenty of flowing beer as well as a multitude of contests to partake in, arts and crafts, face painting and beer games. A beer garden and food tents will open at noon, with the Hof Band playing from 1 to 3 p.m. and more music by Cache Funk from 6 to 8 p.m. A $25 ticket comes with all-day beer garden access and unlimited pours, and a $40 ticket also includes a commemorative beer stein (early bird, discounted ticket pricing is still available). Sign up online for the keg roll, stein race, brat eating contest (open to all ages), gelande quaff demo and the official stein holding championship. General admission to the event is free with a valid digital ticket, and all ages are welcome, though attendees must be 21 or older to participate in beer tastings and contests.

Snow King: Sunday, Sept. 28, 2 to 7 p.m.
The second-annual Oktoberfest at the top of Snow King Mountain will feature local and regional breweries pouring up cold beers, as well as food for purchase. Ride the gondola to 7,800 feet and soak in the views with accompanying live music. Last year’s inaugural summit Oktoberfest featured Roadhouse and Melvin Brewing, Stillwest Brewery, Snake River Brewing, Wind River Brewing, Grand Teton Brewing, Highpoint Cider and Roosters Brewery out of Salt Lake City. A $35 ticket includes the gondola ride and three beer tokens. For those who don’t want the bundle, a gondola ride alone costs $15, and beer tokens are $7 each. Attendees who bring their upcoming season pass will get free gondola access and will only need to purchase beer tokens.

Snake River Brewing: Saturday, Oct. 4, all day
Stop by the brewpub any time during the Oktoberfest celebration to receive food specials and deals on steins and beer pours. The Hof Band will take the stage at 4 p.m. There will be a stein holding competition at 7 p.m.
