TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — Competitors in the Gelande Quaff World Championships slung glasses of beer to each other on a rowdy Wednesday afternoon behind the Mangy Moose, and Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer was practically in the splash zone.
The 17th annual event went down on March 12. Teams of four compete to see how many beers they could slide to each other and consume in a 60-second period, with escalating rules for new tricks each round.

A sizeable crowd gathered to take in the frothy festivities.

Until next year, quaffers! It’s never too early to begin training.
