JACKSON, Wyo. — According to the Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF), it’s not too late for community members to purchase a Christmas tree permit and cut down a tree before the holiday!

Permits are still available at the Kemmerer, Big Piney, Grey’s River, Jackson, Blackrock and Pinedale Ranger District offices, or online here.

BTNF is also reminding people that all 4th graders are eligible for a free National Park Pass and Christmas Tree. Visit Every Kid Outdoors for more information or any of the BTNF offices. Presenting a pass or voucher at the Forest Service will allow a permit and tag for one free Christmas tree. It’s also possible to check the box “I have a fourth grade Every Kid Outdoor pass” when purchasing online.
