MOOSE, Wyo. — Moose Landing in Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) will close for construction on Monday, Oct. 2, GTNP announced Tuesday.

The entire Moose Landing area, including the boat ramp, will remain closed until the spring of 2024.

GTNP advises river users to seek alternate float routes as boat ramps along the Snake River are closing after a busy summer.

“Boaters considering putting in at Deadmans Bar upstream of Moose Landing will not have an available take-out for 37 river miles as Moose Landing and the Wilson Boat Ramp are both closed,” the park said. “Please consider two alternative river floats in the park: Jackson Lake Dam to Pacific Creek Landing and Pacific Creek to Deadmans Bar.”

Work on Moose Landing is part of the Snake River Gateways Project. Improvements to the river access point include a two-vehicle boat ramp, boat landings, restrooms, expanded parking areas, bench seating and “interactive educational displays for people of all abilities,” per the press release.

Other amenities in GTNP are closing for the season as colder weather creeps into the area.
