JACKSON, Wyo. — Most of us know that Nikki Sixx from Mötley Crüe has recently made Jackson Hole his home. But what you probably don’t know is that there’s an even bigger rockstar in the valley.

With global pandemics, elections, and an influx of tourists this time of year it might be easy to get stressed out and forget about the simple things in life. After all, it is “Angry August.”

But we have our own superhero in our midst, Tim McLaurin, who reminds the community that sometimes you just need to put a smile on a stranger’s face, and not take life too seriously.

Anyone who has recently called Jackson home knows Tim. You might not know him by name, but when you drive by the Town Square it is common to see him with a huge smile on his face, boogying down like there’s no tomorrow, and holding a sign that says, “Honk if my dance moves make your day! God bless the USA!”

Tim started dancing in the square several months ago with the intention of spreading joy and reminding visitors to wear a mask. Since then, he has been throwing out moves on the regular.

“I started to dance at the end of March,” Tim said. Why? It’s simple. “I just wanted to make people’s day better.”

Next time you drive by the square, keep an eye out for Tim. And don’t forget to honk and wave at him! These are rough times for many, but with people like Tim, we can be reminded of how important it is to spread joy throughout our busy community.

“Stay positive, we’re going to get through this together!” reminded Tim.
