JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Library’s summer reading challenge, themed “All Together Now,” begins Saturday, June 3, when readers can sign up to start logging their reading minutes and completing activities to be entered into weekly raffle drawings for prizes.
Though readers of all ages (birth to 100) can participate, the Library youth services team has lined up fun free activities for kids listed below:
June 10 to 17: Book Fair Giveaway in the Youth Auditorium
All week during library hours, kids up to eighth grade can sign up for summer reading and choose a free book.
June 17: Foam Fun Party for kids at the Youth Wing Outdoor Area
The party is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids are recommended to wear clothes that can get wet or messy and to bring a towel to dry off.
June 21 to Aug. 2: Wednesday DIY take-home crafts
Pick up a kit and make something cool at home. Every Wednesday at 12 p.m. while supplies last.
June 21: Meet the Raptors in the Ordway Auditorium
The Wednesday event will take place at 2 p.m., presented by Teton Raptor Center.
July 12: Music of the West African Kora in the Ordway Auditorium
The Wednesday event will take place at 2 p.m.
July 18: Compound Camera Interactive Art Piece at the Youth Yard

July 22: Family Concert with Jim Gill in the Ordway Auditorium
The Saturday event will take place at 11 a.m. Free tickets will be available 30 minutes before the show at the Youth Desk.

Tracking reading minutes and completing activities online can earn virtual raffle tickets for weekly prize drawing. Reading for 60 minutes and logging it will earn a virtual raffle ticket, and completing an activity will earn a virtual raffle ticket. Reading for an activity also counts as reading minutes!
For adults and high school students, every 60 minutes of reading earns an entry into a weekly drawing for $50 gift certificates for local businesses, and completing activities earns bagel bucks. All ages can sign up at tclib.org/summer.
