JACKSON, Wyo. — Technical difficulties associated with moving a public meeting online last week grounded an opportunity for airport officials to hear a proposal for a scenic helicopter tour operator to base flights out of Jackson. The meeting has been rescheduled.
The Jackson Hole Airport Board will hold two public meetings this week. On Thursday, April 23 at 9 a.m., the regular monthly board meeting will be reconvened to consider regular business items. Then on Friday, April 24 at 8 a.m., the board will hold a special meeting to consider a proposed agreement with Wind River Air, LLC.
Members of the JH Airport Board will attend the meeting remotely with limited staff at the Airport Board Room to facilitate the meeting and the WebEx platform. Airport staff is working diligently to address technology issues which caused the board’s April 17 meeting to be adjourned until this Thursday. Throughout the week, the airport’s website will be updated with information on how to engage in these meetings.
The JH Airport Board encourages the community to provide public comment and recommends participants submit comments in writing as the primary way to share, prior to the meeting Public comments to be read during the meeting, may be emailed.
Emails must be received before 7 a.m. on April 24 to be read into the record, and should be 200 words or less. Public comment can also be made on the WebEx platform, using the “raise hand” feature. This should be considered a secondary way to share comment.
JH Airport has kept a thorough record of all public comments submitted regarding Wind River Air’s proposal, and comments have been provided to each JH Board Member. All emails previously received will be read aloud during the meeting.
