JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole PeeWee A team brought home the championship banner from the Mountain High Shootout in Park City last weekend.

The 12U team from Jackson, coached by Tyler Sinclair, blanked the Jr. Steelheads 5-0 in their first game. It was a 5-2 win over Park City Red in Round 2. But Jackson was just getting started.

The 12U Moose blitzed Park City White 13-1, slipped past the Red team from Park City again 4-3, and then cruised to a 7-3 win over the Jr. Steelheads for the title.

The Bantam A Jackson team had another strong tourney but could not get past a talented Sun Valley squad.

The 14U team shutout the Jr. Grizzlies 3-0 in the opening round and edged the Lightning 2-1 in their second game. An 8-0 whitewash of Park City earned Jackson a showdown with Sun Valley where Jackson was beat 5-1.

Coach Drew Akins regrouped his squad for a rematch against Sun Valley in the championship game where things went a little better, but Jackson lost that one 5-3 to finish the Mountain High Shootout with a record of 3-2.
