JACKSON, Wyo. — After a few rounds of shipment delays, the Town of Jackson’s Engineering Division has confirmed that project work is underway at last on its Gregory Lane rebuild.
Starting Thursday, June 5, Gregory Lane will be closed from High School Road to the pathway intersection, referred to as “Segment 1” by the project team. This closure is anticipated to last about three weeks.

Engineering’s Jeff Silliman noted that the bike path will still be accessible during construction.
Closures were originally scheduled to begin in early May, but material delays forced a new timeline. Work in the area will be carried out in stages, beginning with Segment 1 and working north incrementally. Each stage is expected to take three to four weeks, according to project leaders. Work is likely to run through October before picking back up in 2026.

Evans Construction will take the lead on the project, which has been in the works for more than 20 years. In 2019, $8.5 million in SPET funding was allocated to the Gregory Lane project to address street, stormwater and sewer infrastructure.
Businesses on Gregory Lane will remain open through construction.
