GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — Grizzly 1063 has reunited with her third yearling cub after her other two yearlings were found dead this week, Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) shared on Thursday.
After park staff discovered the two deceased bears on Tuesday, 1063 was seen moving around alone, and the third cub’s whereabouts were unknown.

“We’re relieved to share a bit of good news: grizzly bear 1063 has reunited with her third cub,” GTNP posted to social media along with two photos of the bear pair.
GTNP reports that staff confirmed a sighting of 1063 with her surviving cub in the Colter Bay area.
“This is a bittersweet reminder of nature’s harshness, but also of the strength and resilience of wildlife in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem,” GTNP posted.
