JACKSON, Wyo. — If Scotty Emerick’s name isn’t on the tongue of every country music fan, many of the songs he has created certainly are.

A prolific songwriter most famous for his work with Toby Keith, Emerick will perform and tell the stories behind his songs at the upcoming Silver Dollar Showroom Session at The Wort Hotel on March 10, 2022.

Some of the most recognizable anthems written by Emerick include, “I Love this Bar,” “Beer for My Horses,” “I’m Just Talkin’ About Tonight,” “As Good as I Once Was,” and “Whiskey Girl.” In addition to penning these sing-along favorites, and regularly appearing as a special guest on the megastar’s national tours, Emerick has also written for chart-toppers including George Strait, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, Billy Currington and Sawyer Brown.

In 2004, Emerick was named “Songwriter of the Year” by the Nashville Songwriters Association. His own album, The Coast is Clear, landed four singles on the country charts.
