DRIGGS, Idaho — The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued flood watches and warnings for large portions of southeast Idaho, including Teton Valley.
According to NWS, a flood warning is in effect for all of Teton Valley now through Tuesday, May 2, at 3 p.m. due to snow melt. Flooding from snow melt and excessive runoff may result in flooding rivers, creeks, streams, low-lying fields and other flood-prone locations. Although no significant precipitation is expected, an extended warming trend over the next week will increase snowmelt.
The NWS advises those living in areas prone to flooding should to be prepared to take action should flooding develop, and report observations to the National Weather Service in Pocatello via phone, email or social media when it is safe to do so.
