JACKSON, Wyo. — Flag Day this year will bring both a protest to Jackson and a fee-free day to all national parks. According to JH Happenings, residents will rally on Sunday on Town Square to “Take Back Our Flag” as part of the “No Kings” movement, which protests actions taken by the Trump Administration.

The Department of Interior (DOI) announced in November that Flag Day (also President Trump’s birthday) would be a fee-free day to enter all national parks. Other fee-free days include Independence Day weekend, the 110th Birthday of the National Park Service and Veterans Day.

“Across the country, millions of Americans are gathering on Flag Day,” JH Happenings shared in an Instagram post. “Jackson is joining the party. Expect local candidates, community leaders, veterans, a public Constitution reading, democracy-themed art projects, ways to get involved locally, and enough American flags to make Betsy Ross blush.”

Residents interested in attending the protest are encouraged to wear red, white and blue.
