JACKSON, Wyo. — In the mood for some spring cleaning?

Luckily, three local organizations have put together close-by options over the next two weekends for folks feeling the seasonal inclination to tidy. The events coincide with the Community Spring Clean-Up Week, happening from Monday, May 6 through Saturday, May 11.

Aska’s Animals is hosting a Community Clean-Up Day event at its Victor headquarters on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Expect “a delightful farm clean-up event filled with animal interactions, snacks, chores and the opportunity to appreciate the company the farm provides,” per the org’s Facebook post. Attendees are encouraged to bring such tools as rakes, shovels, pitchforks and the like. Contact info@askasanimals.org for more information.

Trout Unlimited, Teton Valley, is hosting its second annual Teton River Clean-Up event on Saturday, May 4. Attendees should gather at Buxton River Park (Bates Boat ramp) at noon, where they’ll be given gloves and trash bags. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather. Clean the river from a boat or on foot until 3 p.m., when a Big Hole BBQ cookout begins at the park, complete with giveaways. Free shuttles will be provided. Sign up using this form.

The Lunch Rotary Club’s Annual JH Community Spring Clean Up will be held on Saturday, May 11, at Phil Baux Park beginning at 8 a.m. Attendees will be assigned to an area to clean and given trash bags and shirts/vests to wear. Breakfast treats and coffee will be provided for volunteers on a first-come basis. A meal voucher to use for lunch at the Eco-Fair will be provided to all volunteers, too. Contact jhcleanup@gmail.com for more information.

Happy cleaning!
