JACKSON, Wyo. — The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole is pleased to announce the addition of three new staff members to its advancement and finance departments: Elizabeth Cogburn Birnie (Philanthropy Officer), Carolyn Ripps (Donor Relations Officer), and Alex Rubin (Finance Associate).

In the newly created role of Philanthropy Officer, Elizabeth helps determine donor strategy, establishing systems that support an effective fundraising operation, and collaborates with the Advancement team to manage key donor relationships, including fundholders and planned gifts. Before joining the Community Foundation, Elizabeth worked as the Director of Membership for the National Museum of Wildlife Art.

As the new Donor Relations Officer, Carolyn connects donors with the community, focusing on major donors and Old Bill’s Fun Run CoChallengers, and works together with the Advancement team on donor messaging and events. Before joining the Community Foundation, Carolyn worked as the Communications Manager for Persephone and Jackson Hole Public Art.

As the Finance Associate, Alex supports the finance department by processing gifts, handling accounts payable and receivable, as well as bank reconciliations. Previously, Alex worked in food and beverage and accounting for Roadhouse Brewing.

“Elizabeth, Carolyn, and Alex bring unique skill sets to their new positions at the Foundation. Their collective expertise will strengthen the overall team’s work toward achieving the 3 main goals that we set out in our strategic plan – initiatives addressing broad community issues, impact investing, and resource development,” remarked Laurie Andrews, Community Foundation President.
