TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — Two deaths occurred this morning at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR), confirmed Teton County Sheriff Matt Carr.

A local volunteer employee working for the mountain host program collapsed this morning just before the emergency call came in about the skier who collided with a tree. “The two at the village were basically right at the same time,” said Carr.

The mountain host suffered cardiac arrest. The individual died as a result. “JHMR does not comment on health information of employees out of respect for their families and privacy,” said Eric Seymour JHMR Media Contact.

A third, unrelated death occurred this afternoon at the Teton Gables Motel. Law enforcement and the coroner’s office are currently responding. Little information is available at this time.

Buckrail will update this story as details come available. Our deepest condolences go out to those involved.
