YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — The body of a 41-year-old male was discovered in Yellowstone Lake on June 8, according to an announcement made by Yellowstone National Park (YNP) this afternoon.
Occupants of a vessel on the lake found the body floating in the water near Rock Point on the lake’s northwestern shore, near Bridge Bay. YNP identified the body as Brandon Rhea of Denver, Colorado.

“National Park Service rangers responded to the scene and recovered the body, along with a capsized kayak and personal belongings,” YNP’s statement reads. “The incident is under investigation, and there are no further details to share at this time.”
This is a developing story. Buckrail will provide updates as information becomes available.
