BREAKING: Power outage in town blamed on substation, fix coming

JACKSON HOLE, WYO –

UPDATE: Power restored in less than 45 minutes. Way to go, Lower Valley Energy!

Lower Valley Energy has crews working on a substation failure at the main transmission station near START Bus facility in Karns Meadow. The power outage has affected a major portion of town.

Brian Tanabe of LVE said the problem has been identified and his team is on it. They hope to have power restored shortly but admitted he could not better define ‘shortly’ as far as a timeframe.

“At least it is not a wire we have to dig up,” Tanabe said. “We should be able to get to this fairly quickly.”
