YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — Yellowstone National Park’s (YNP) museum program announced on Thursday, Nov. 7, the launch of a new virtual exhibit titled “Yellowstone National Park: Travel Through Time.”
According to a YNP Facebook post, the exhibit uses collection objects to highlight different methods of travel throughout the region. The exhibit will begin with Native American groups and early European American trappers and surveyors, and continue to present-day visitors.

“It examines how the area has been managed over time, how visitors tour the park on land, water and snow and how the National Park Service uses technology to steward the land and protect its visitors,” YNP writes. “The way that people have explored the region has changed…In the early days of the park, visitors would have to manually push stagecoaches when they got stuck on the rough roads… Really puts today’s bison jams into perspective!”
