JACKSON, Wyo. — Who knew the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) possessed such meme knowledge?

WYDOT Teton County posted a meme on its Facebook page Friday morning reminding drivers that current weather conditions have led to a ban on trailer traffic on WY22 over Teton Pass. It features a reference to the infamous Game of Thrones “Walk of Atonement” scene, in which a disgraced Cersei Lannister must walk naked through King’s Landing as townsfolk throw rotten produce at her, all while Septa Unella rings a bell and chants “Shame! Shame!” behind her.

“Just a reminder to check WYDOT’s 511 for trailer restrictions on Teton Pass,” WYDOT Teton County posted. “Know before you go!” The agency shared a link to its road info website.

New snow in the region has led to some hairy driving situations. While the seasonal trailer ban for Teton Pass runs from Nov. 15 to April 1, driver alerts issued by WYDOT over the past 36 hours have advised, “No trailer traffic.” Sign up for driver alerts here.
