WILSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced that the Wilson Pathway bridge will be installed over Fish Creek on Tuesday night.
The bridge will be moved from its current roadside location near the Stilson Transit Center beginning at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, with work scheduled until 4 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29.
“Traffic delays are expected between Jackson and the Idaho state line from milepost 4.5 to 5.5,” WYDOT’s announcement said. “Traffic [is] being diverted onto County roads within Wilson.”
The bridge was originally slated to be installed in late February, but winter weather caused project delays.
The Wilson to Stilson Pathway was designed to provide a connection to the Teton County pathway system for those who live or recreate on the south side of WY22, including connections to the Snake River Bridge Pathway and Moose Wilson Road. In November, a paved path from Stilson Transit Center to the Teton Raptor Center opened, marking the completion of the pathway’s first phase. The second phase, including this new bridge, is expected to be finished this year, connecting bicyclists and pedestrians with downtown Wilson.
