JACKSON, Wyo. — At a Wednesday, Oct. 21 meeting, the Town of Jackson Planning Commission recommended approval of a sketch plan to replace 12 mobile homes at 150 West Kelly Avenue with 18 townhomes. Six of the proposed homes would be deed-restricted workforce units, while 12 would be sold at market rate.

The project would remove six individual street-access driveways along Kelly Avenue, and use the existing internal drive aisle connecting Millward and Glenwood streets for vehicle traffic.

The main concern was whether parking for the workforce units would be equivalent to parking for the market-rate units. The sketch plan showed uncovered surface spaces for the workforce homes and garages for the market-rate homes. Commissioner Laura Bonich pointed to Housing Department rules requiring equivalent parking and said the difference “doesn’t seem equivalent.”

The vote moves the sketch plan forward to be presented to the Design Review Committee.
