Walton Levee closure beginning next week

JACKSON, Wyo. — A popular recreation spot along the Snake River will be closed to the public beginning next week for routine maintenance.

Starting Wednesday, October 21 through November 15, 2020, the Walton Levee at Emily’s Pond on Wyoming Highway 22 will close to the public so that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers can perform rehabilitation work. The levee will be open to the public on the weekends, beginning on Friday at 5:00 p.m. through Sunday, but will close again Monday mornings.

The parking lot at Emily’s Pond will remain open, along with access to the pathway bridge over the Snake River. Please contact Teton County Road and Levee with questions at 307-733-7190.
