JACKSON, Wyo. — Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited is hours away from releasing gear, trips, art, jewelry, and food and wine for online auction. At 5:30 pm on May 7, a highly-anticipated angling event, the Tie One On Banquet, will open for bidding.
Entirely virtual this year, the event will include a raffle, live and silent auction, merchandise for purchase, and donations at jhtrout21.givemsmart.com. Silent auction items open on May 7 at 5:30 p.m. and live auction items open on May 12 at 5:30 p.m. On May 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Fish will broadcast live with local anglers, partners and Trout Unlimited Board Members from the Orvis Fly Shop.
All proceeds and purchases directly support Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited’s mission: “to conserve, protect, and restore Jackson Hole’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds”. To see projects that this fundraising will benefit from, visit https://jacksonhole.tu.org/jhtu/projects.
Featured items releasing tonight include sought-after fishing trips on the Snake, Green, Madison rivers and more. Some trips, like “Bitch Creek with the ladies of TU” and “Wyoming Game & Fish Electrofishing” aren’t even available to the public outside this event. The event’s art and jewelry section boasts locally hand-made jewelry and highly-valued originally artwork, most with an angling theme. Not all items are for fishermen; such as culinary experiences at over ten local restaurants, stays at world-class hotels like Amangani, and punch passes at Jackson’s top health and fitness facilities.
Trout Unlimited encourages supporters to tune in live as sought-after auction items will heat up and sell off quickly. Live auction items released on May 12 include international hunting and fishing trips to Mexico, Argentina, and Chile.
