JACKSON, Wyo. — After indulging in The Lion’s Club Breakfast, visiting the award-winning rabbits and pigs in Heritage Arena, witnessing the art of horsemanship at Horse Show events, exploring the Blue Ribbon Exhibit Hall, playing a round of mini golf, and feeling your way through the petting zoo, there is even more fun to be found at the 66th annual Teton County Fair! In tradition, the night events will kick off with the Fair Concert on Wednesday, July 27, at the Rodeo Arena. This year’s concert features soulful Americana and country music artists Ian Munsick, Elvie Shane, and guest Kylie Frey. This is guaranteed to be a boot-stomping, two-stepping jamboree to remember. Gates open at 5:45 p.m. Show starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person at the Fair office or www.tetoncountyfair.com.
Ian Munsick, who grew up on a Wyoming ranch playing music with his brothers and fiddleplaying father, has rocked the Nashville music scene by bringing a breath of fresh Rocky Mountain air to Music City. Munsick is described as a progressive artist with an old soul, incorporating elements from many genres. The 27-year-old recently signed his first major label deal with Warner Music Nashville and released his debut album Coyote Cry, described as western pop-laced country music. Munsick’s song “Long Live Cowgirls” was #1 on the Hot 30 weekend countdown.
Elvie Shane recently performed at the 2022 County Music Television Music Awards and was nominated for New Male Artist of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year. Shane is known for soulful, country rock that brings elements of gospel and R&B. Supporting artist Kylie Frey is a third-generation rodeo girl, Louisiana state goat-tying champion, and a rising star as genuine as her Wranglers. Her sound both typifies and transcends the genre of country music.
Thursday through Sunday evenings, the fairgrounds will be hopping with the Horse Pulls, the 4-H Livestock Sale After-Party featuring Sghetti, the Fair Rodeo and the closing Figure 8 Races. And for kids of all ages, find your thrills at Frazier Shows carnival rides, open Wednesday through Sunday.
