JACKSON, Wyo. — It’s LGBTQ+ Pride Month!
Jackson Hole Pride (JHP), the organization that plans and hosts events for Jackson’s LGBTQ+ population and allies during Pride Month and beyond, has shared its slate of programming for this year’s celebrations. See its Instagram page for the latest scheduling updates as some plans will evolve.
Monday, June 1, 5:30 to 8 p.m.: Group Hike on Munger Mountain. Free. A friendly, moderate evening hike on Munger Mountain trails. Carpool from Stilson Lot (Village Transit Center) at 5:30 p.m. or meet at the trailhead around 6 p.m. Look for the Wyoming Pride flag. Bring water and comfortable shoes/clothing. In the event of bad weather, JHP will announce postponement or cancellation day-of.
Wednesday, June 3, 5 to 8 p.m.: Silent Disco for Youth Grades 6-12. Free. An inclusive Silent Disco just for youth in grades 6–12. Wireless headphones, many choices of channels, and the freedom to dance however feels best. Under the big tent at St. John’s Episcopal Church, co-hosted with St. John’s and Jackson Hole Jewish Community.
Friday, June 5, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.: Town Square Banner Walk and Ice Cream Social. Free. Pride banners are flying on the Jackson Town Square for the third year, a historic display of visibility. Thousands of locals and visitors see them every day. Come walk the square together and celebrate with free ice cream and sorbet. Meet at the SW corner of the square.
Saturday, June 6, 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.: Drag Show and Dance Party. Tickets are $20 to $30. For one night only, Jackson Hole Pride presents: Vegas, Baby. An evening of drag, dancing, and deeply committed glamour. The evening kicks off with a live drag show featuring local and regional performers, followed by a full dance party to close out the night. Dress code is Vegas — rhinestones, feather boas and animal prints.
Wednesday, June 10, 6 to 8 p.m.: Election Block Party with ShelterJH. Free. A politically engaged, nonpartisan evening on the Snake River Brewing lawn. Register to vote, meet local candidates, catch Outta Shorts live, and have a free beer. Co-hosted with ShelterJH and other community partners.
Thursday, June 11, 6 to 7:15 p.m. Pop Star Dance Class with Dancer’s Workshop. $10. Learn the choreography to Janet Jackson’s “Nasty.” This is a low pressure class focused on fun and finding one’s inner pop star. No experience needed, all genders welcome, ages 14 and up.
Sunday, June 14, 12 to 3 p.m.: Gender Diversity Celebration Picnic. Free. Gender Diversity Wyoming’s 6th Annual Gender Diversity Celebration Picnic — an afternoon of food, art, lawn games, and connection for gender questioning, trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive community members and their loved ones. Held at the Art Association of Jackson Hole, Multi-Purpose Studio & Deck. Co-sponsored by the Art Association of Jackson Hole and Jackson Hole Pride.
Tuesday, June 16, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.: Wildlife Tour with EcoTour Adventures. Free with suggested donation. Learn about and explore our home ecosystem with queer outdoor guides from Jackson Hole EcoTour Adventures. This event is capped at 14 people maximum (a waitlist will be created). Scope devices, transportation, and snacks provided.
Thursday, June 18, 6:30 to 8 p.m.: Beginner Salsa Dance Class with Dancer’s Workshop. $10. Learn the foundations of salsa in a low pressure class focused on fun, finding rhythm and basic moves. No partner needed, no experience needed, all genders welcome, ages 14 and up.
Tuesday, June 23, 6:30 to 8 p.m.: Birding Night. Free. An evening of identifying, watching, and appreciating local birds above the South Park Feedgrounds. No expertise required — just bring a little patience. Binoculars and scopes provided.
Monday, June 29, 6 to 8 p.m.: Craft Night with Wonder Institute. Free. An evening of hands-on making at the Wonder Institute. Creative stations might include linoblock printing, collage, drawing, sewing, embroidery, and beading. All skill levels welcome.
