JACKSON, Wyo. — This weekend, families have plenty of opportunity to experience holiday merriment.
Santa visits the National Museum of Wildlife Art
HO, HO, HO, this Sunday, Dec. 3, Santa arrives from the North Pole to greet children and orchestrate a holiday sing-along at the National Museum of Wildlife Art (NMWA) .
The Museum’s “Wild about the Season” event will run from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. According to the NMWA, this special holiday-themed event will include a North Pole letter-writing station in the classroom, winter ornament craft making in the Wapiti Gallery and a visit from bilingual Santa with holiday sing-alongs in Sullivan Hall.

“Wild About the Season is a festive opportunity to gather together, create and give back,” Director of Programs and Events Michelle Dickson said. “We are so happy to provide the community a free day like this, and grateful to our sponsors for making this possible.”
The ornament making station will include, western wildlife ornaments, snowflakes and wooden rounds. Santa will share his piano playing skills and lead all the children in seasonal favorites. There will be a letter drop-box to Santa, so kids will be assured that their letters will arrive to the North Pole in time.

Attendees will have the option to donate their ornaments, which will then be taken to Sage Living Center to help spread holiday cheer throughout the community.
Santa’s Schedule:
- 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. — Children visit with Santa
- 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. — A sing-along with Santa
- 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. — Children visit with Santa
- 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. — A sing-along with Santa
Cookie swap at the Murie Ranch
Join a Murie-inspired Cookie Swap at the Murie Ranch on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 1 to 4 p.m.

What’s a cookie swap?
Bring a couple dozen of your favorite cookies and a to-go container and the swapping will begin. Participants will leave with an assortment of everyone else’s best cookies.
People are welcome to drop in for 15 minutes or stay for all 3 hours. There will be hot cider on Mardy and Olaus’ porch (with a special custom mug to the first 50 folks who arrive and a special sweatshirt for the first five people), a bonfire and some of Mardy’s own recipe Cry Baby Cookies.
Transportation will be provided from the Moose Post Office Parking Lot. A Wildlife Expeditions Snow Coach will be running shuttles from the lot to the Murie Ranch every half-hour starting at 1 p.m. Feel free to ski or snowshoe to the Center for a winter wonderland experience.
Middle School student holiday concert

On Sunday, Dec. 3, the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole is putting on a Christmas Concert.
This festive and free event will share a variety of seasonal music, beginning at 4 p.m.
The Jackson Hole Middle School Select Choir, directed by Collin Binko, will be performing two of their holiday songs. There will be piano, flute, oboe and cello instrumentalists performing as well.
Enjoy a reception following the program. Stay and mingle with your friends, neighbors and family as well as the performers.
