
MOOSE, WYOMING — A third person had died as the result of a head-on collision on North Highway 89 in Grand Teton National Park last week.
Wyoming Highway Patrol confirmed 78-year-old Dorothy Ashby of Riverton, Wyoming died yesterday from injuries sustained in the crash. She was a passenger in the Nissan Xterra driven by Carol Roemer, who also died.
The accident happened July 16 half a mile north of Airport Junction. One driver was declared dead on-scene. The other driver was pronounced dead at the hospital. All involved were wearing seatbelts.
Lieutenant Matt Brackin said he doesn’t expect any more fatalities. All other passengers but one have been released from the hospital, and there are no life-threatening injuries in the remaining passengers.
The cause of the crash is still undetermined.
