Update: Victims identified in fatal vehicle collision

UPDATE 6:24 p.m.: N Highway 89 from Moose to Airport Junction is open in both directions.

UPDATE 4:08 p.m.: Grand Teton National Park has confirmed a second fatality.

UPDATE 4:00 p.m.: Jackson Fire Chief Brady Hansen confirmed one fatality, and another patient was receiving CPR on their way to the hospital but their status is currently unknown.

UPDATE: GTNP spokesperson Denise Germann says Highway 89 from Moose to Airport Junction will be closed for at least two hours while officials respond a serious head-on collision with multiple injuries just north of the airport. The airport is still accessible from the north via a detour through Antelope Flats.

JACKSON, WY – A collision just north of Jackson Hole Airport is blocking north Highway 89. Park visitors are being asked to take Antelope Flats.

Multiple Fire/EMS units are responding to the accident.

Jackson Hole Airport is still accessible from Jackson via N Highway 89. Those traveling south to JH Airport from Moose will need to take the detour along Antelope Flats Road to Gros Ventre Junction then head north on N Highway 89 to JH Airport. Those traveling between Jackson and Moose will need to take detour between Gros Ventre Junction and Antelope Flats.
