POCATELLO, Idaho — The National Weather Service’s Pocatello, ID, office (NWS) extended its flood warning in Teton County and Bonneville County until Friday, June 7 at 4 p.m.

Originally set to expire at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the flood warning will now continue through at least Friday afternoon.

As of 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, NWS emergency management observed that flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. NWS says that some of the locations that will experience flooding include Driggs and Victor. While flooding impacts will continue, no additional rainfall is expected.

Additionally, Teton Valley Weather’s forecast as of 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, reported that the Teton River will be at or near flood stage on Friday due to warm temperatures and increasing mountain snowmelt. Teton Valley Weather posted to Facebook that ID-33 in eastern Idaho is clear of water, but runoff from melting mountain snow could change conditions.
