JACKSON, Wyo. — On Monday, April 22, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office announced via social media channels, that it seeks public input from anyone who might have witnessed the ski collision at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR), which resulted in the death of Peter Wuerslin, a 71-year-old part-time JHMR ski instructor.

The collision occurred around 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 14 on Rendezvous Trail. Wuerslin never regained consciousness after the ski crash, and after being placed on life support, died on Wednesday, April 17 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, the Jackson Hole News and Guide reported.

Wuerslin began teaching for JHMR in 1978 and was employed seasonally by the resort for the past 38 years.

Last week, Teton County Sheriff Matt Carr told Buckrail that the incident is currently being investigated. The Sheriff’s Office and JHMR have not released any additional information on the other skier.
