DRIGGS, Idaho — Teton County Idaho Search and Rescue (TCISAR) responded to an injured individual who was involved in an ATV accident on Saturday near Packsaddle Lake.
At approximately 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, TCISAR mobilized in response to an ATV rollover. In a Facebook post, TCISAR stated that a multi-agency operation was initiated due to the nature of the injuries and challenging access to the incident. Teton County (Idaho) Fire & Rescue and Air Idaho worked with TCISAR volunteers to locate, assess, stabilize and transport the patient from the scene to a landing zone for air evacuation.
“The response required seamless communication and coordination between ground and air resources,” TCISAR wrote. “Through the combined efforts of TCISAR personnel, Teton County Fire & Rescue and the Air Idaho flight crew, the patient was successfully transferred for advanced medical care.”
The agency noted that 12 volunteer members took part in the mission, which was completed in just under four hours.
“Successful outcomes in remote emergencies depend on strong collaboration between agencies, and this response highlighted the value of those relationships,” TCISAR said.
