JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Search and Rescue will present a first aid workshop on Wednesday as part of a program of mountain biking events during the Cache Creek Mountain Bike Race.

Participants will be briefed on handling the most common injuries bicyclists might encounter, such as managing shoulder dislocations, irrigating/dressing deep wounds and assessing head injuries. All attendees will receive a free TCSAR first aid kit.

The program will take place at Mike Yokel Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. In addition to first aid, interested parties will hear about recommended trail gear and minor bike repairs. See the workshop schedule below:

  • 5:35 to 6 p.m.: Mountain Bike Pack Essentials and Chain Repair with Andrew Howe and Kate Robinson
  • 6:05 to 6:55 p.m.: Mountain Bike First Aid with SAR Volunteer Chris Leig
  • 7 to 7:30 p.m.: Fixing a Flat Tire with Andrew Howe

Interested cyclists can register here. Attendees are encouraged to bring their bikes and tools, although materials will also be provided. This workshop is presented by BackcountryZero with sponsorship by The Hub.
