Local sports bars were buzzing Wednesday night when Team USA took on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

World Cup watch-parties have been held in bars across Jackson and Wilson, including at Eleanor’s, Il Villaggio Osteria, Roadhouse Pub, both Sidewinders locations and more.

Spirits ran high when Christian Pulisic scored a goal that was then disallowed.

Despite a red card, the Americans ultimately proved victorious, advancing to the round of 16. The next game for Team USA will be on Monday night against Belgium.
