WILSON, Wyo. — Teton County Search and Rescue shared that its team assisted a mountain biker on Parallel Trail on Tuesday, after having performed a similar rescue in the same area last week.

TCSAR posted to social media that a 39-year-old local male “washed out on his bike while navigating a berm turn after a jump” in the Teton Pass trail network on Tuesday, May 27. The man sustained a severe lower leg injury, TCSAR noted. Volunteers were dispatched following a 4:37 p.m. 911 call.

The team of TCSAR volunteers headed to the Old Pass Road and to a truck pull-out above the trail along WY22. Reaching the patient on foot, volunteers treated the patient and then transported him down the trail using a wheeled litter to meet a waiting ambulance.

Last week’s rescue mission involved a 16-year-old biker who had crashed on Parallel. Last summer, a 15-year-old biker got injured on the same trail.
