Targhee Fest delivers the acts & the vibe you love

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – It’s the weekend you’ve been waiting for—the fifteen acts of the 15th Annual Targhee Fest. Those that have experienced a festival at Targhee know there’s more beyond the stellar lineup spanning rock, funk, vintage blues, Americana, singer-songwriter, and gritty alt-country. Proximity to a shady campground, a stage facing the Tetons, and a small town vibe keep smiles in high supply at the high elevation resort nestled in the national forest.

The full schedule of acts is below, so get the highlighter out and start getting pumped. You may also want to considering bringing the mountain bike, disc golf accessories, hiking shoes and more. Kicking off the festival is newcomers Philly-based soul/blues band The Commonheart. Fronted by Clinton Clegg, the large ensemble will offer a powerful sound for earlybirds (4 p.m. Friday). Dumpstaphunk will give you exactly what the name implies followed by two legendary acts in Taj Mahal Quartet and Los Lobos.

Saturday brings the most rocking acts with sister rock duo Larkin Poe adding curiosity to an otherwise familiar lineup Teton County staples. Southern rockers Drive-by Truckers return as headliners as they did in 2016, with its latest release—last year’s Town Burned Down—an album written and recorded in 1990 but shelved and revamped for a proper modern release.

Don’t sleep on the Sunday lineup because it’s a doozy as well. Amy Helm, Ryan Bingham, The Motet, and Trombone Shorty are all artists that have hit their stride and been delivering the goods.
