ALTA, Wyo. — On Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, Grand Targhe Resort offers the first ever Targhee Colter Cup, a fun bike racing weekend geared for both solo riders and teams wanting to challenges themselves on mountain climbs and fast descents.

Solo riders can either compete in “The business,” a six mile, 2,000 feet hill climb or “The Party,” a nine mile downhill course with a 3,300 feet vertical drop.

Riders can also grab a teammate and split the racing duties. Whether wearing lycra or baggies, it will be a weekend of challenging adventure for traditional and adaptive mountain bikers.

Targhee also invites participants to mullet race! On Saturday, racers will tackle the climb from the Targhee base area to the top of Peaked Mountain in a time trial format. On Sunday, competitors will race from Fred’s summit at 10,000 feet, all the way down to Teton Canyon, connecting Targhee’s Bike Park trails to Mill Creek, also in a time trial format.
