JACKSON, WY \u2014 "If you've never been to a rodeo, is this a good one to see?" a spectator asked in the ticket line. Yes and no. The Professional Bull Riding (PBR) tour is unlike any rodeo you'll see. Rather than a collection of traditional rodeo events, PBR is, as the name suggests, just bull riding (and mutton bustin', or riding sheep, for little ones under 60 pounds). These bull riders are the best in the world. They tour the nation, wowing audiences with just eight seconds (if they can last that long) of courage and extreme athleticism. Last night's events were made all the more exciting when a storm rolled through "God's country," as entertainer Brinson Harris called it. No storms in the forecast for tonight. Rider Jess Lockwood from Volbor, Montana was last night's champion with a score of 89.5. Derek Kolbaba came in second with a score of 87.5, followed closely by Keyshawn Whitehorse scoring 87 points. Riders are judged first by whether they stay on all eight seconds, and then by style and form. They'll defend their scores tonight in the championship round. Drew Kollenborn was last night's Muttin Bustin' champ.\u00a0 Jackson Hole PBR is a two-night event, and there's one night left to see the action. Learn more and get your tickets here. Tickets are also on-site at the ticket booth.
